untitled-3530PINIMAGEHey Friends! Things have been quiet around here lately and I wanted to give you an update. We are two weeks away from welcoming our 3rd little one into our family. I’ve decided to take a break from work to focus on preparing for our sweet little girl’s arrival.

I also plan to take the month of April and May off from all work to bond and figure out our new rhythm as a family of 5. Plus, I won’t be accepting any birth clients until September since I plan to nurse our little girl for at least 6 months and the unpredictability of birth makes that a bit complicated.

However! I will be running birth photography package specials when I return. So if you are due in September or later, contact me in the next week or so to secure your spot before I drop off into newborn la la land. That’s all for now!

Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale. -Lauren DeStefano

Fall really is the best time of year. And especially in Franklin, TN after a long HOT winter. Colors firing forth from the trees. Crisp refreshing air blowing away the stagnant muggy Tennessee summer. And the excitement of the holiday season just around the corner.

This year I’m excited to offer fall mini sessions for my clients wanting to grab some photos for their holiday card or mementos of their family in the stage of life they are in right now.

$150 will give you a 20 minute session, 10 edited images, an online digital download gallery, and a print release to print and enjoy the photos as you desire.

I only have ONE DAY LEFT with times available for this awesome deal. November 5th at 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, and 5:30. Email me to book your time today!

Next to birth photography, Fresh 48 sessions are my absolute favorite. Kayla found me on a Nashville mom’s group on Facebook (yay for social media making real life interactions happen!) and booked a Fresh 48 session for the birth of her second daughter.

I met her at St. Thomas Midtown on a sunny Thursday morning where her sweet baby girl arrived two nights before. This precious little one had a full head of dark hair which surprised both Mom and Dad since their 1st was blonde through and through.

I took a few photos of Kayla and Sadie Jo in the bright morning light before Jeff and big sister Hallie arrived. They were a few minutes late because Hallie had locked Jeff out of the house with her still inside and a bit of a panic ensued.

Luckily everything ended up OK and Little Hallie unlocked the door for daddy so this precious family of 4 could document their first days together.

Stefanie and Brian are new friends of mine! I met them at the baby fair at the cool springs mall when I was there with the Nashville Birth Photographer group spreading the word about birth photography. She entered to win my maternity session give-away and won! When I met her she was only showing her early first trimester baby bump. But when we got together last week she was radiant and wearing her growing bump beautifully. We met at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, TN and enjoyed the golden glow of a late summer sun set.

Surprisingly Stefanie actually went into labor two days after our shoot and delivered her sweet baby girl at 34 weeks. She still has a long way to grow in strength, but is doing as well as expected for such a new little baby. I’m so thankful we were able to squeeze in these final days of Stefanie’s pregnancy before her little made her big debut!

The Delaplain family is one of the coolest families ever. They are unlike any other family I know. They have been through so much in the last 2 years including having their 4th daughter Amelia who was born with a rare cancer, of which she has since been healed. And then one month ago having their 5th daughter, Elizabeth Joy.

God bless Matt who is surrounded by so much estrogen and still finds time to smile. :)
